A.J.S. (Asta) Lokin, a lawyer with CMS Derks Star Busmann, has won the national pleading competion.

Last Friday 4 July, Asta Lokin proved to be the best of the eight winners of the regional pleading competitions that were held earlier. On 6 June, Asta Lokin won the Utrecht pleading competition.

The president of the Utrecht District Court presented  Asta Lokin with the prof.mr. V.J.A. van Dijk award, the challenge cup for the winner.

The jury comprised H.AE. Uniken Venema LL.M., president of the Utrecht District Court, L.J. Griffith LL.M., member of the VVD parliamentary group in the Lower House of the States General, I.E. van Wijland-Kalkman LL.M., justice of the Arnhem Court of Appeal, W.M.J. Bekkers LL.M., the dean of the National Bar Association and lawyer with Wijn & Stael Advocaten, and I.N. Weski LL.M., lawyer with Weski Heinrici Advocaten.

Asta Lokin studied private law at Utrecht University and has worked in the Litigation practice group of CMS Derks Star Busmann since 2005.
