Anki Spronk is a lawyer specializing in the law of persons and family law, in particular in divorces where setoff clauses play an important role. Furthermore, she has wide experience in the specific problems that may arise if one of the spouses is a director and major shareholder or self-employed entrepreneur, as well as in the area of calculating maintenance. She is a divorce mediator (VFAS) and registered mediator with the Netherlands Mediation Institute (NMI) and is member of a number of specialist associations.
In 1974 Anki set up practice as an independent lawyer in Groningen. Her firm grew and within a few years had six staff.
Anki has had a variety of additional jobs, both within and outside the legal profession in a number of public areas. For example, for many years she was chairman of the Stichting Vrouwennetwerk Noord (Women's Network North Foundation) and board member of a guardianship institution. She is member of the Board of Zonta Utrecht, was member of the Supervisory Board in Utrecht and is active in a number of committees within the legal profession.
