Dolf Segaar graduated from Utrecht University in 1987. After completing his military service he began his legal career as a lawyer with CMS Derks Star Busmann in 1989 and became a partner in 1998. He has been a Board member since 2003 and became Chairman of the Board of CMS Derks Star Busmann N.V. in April 2008.
Dolf forms part of the Company Law practice group his main area of work being corporate, corporate litigation, mergers and takeovers, corporate governance and foundations, cooperatives and associations. In this last practice area he focuses in particular on the sports industry which brings him into contact with other areas of the law in his practice (such as intellectual property law).
Dolf is active in a number of areas focusing in particular on the hotel sector the sports world and media & ICT.
He is a regular speaker at seminars and courses in the area of sports law and company law.
