Ellen Gielen studied business administration and law at Rotterdam. In view of this combination of studies, it was only logical that she chose to specialize in company law. Ellen followed a student traineeship at CMS Derks Star Busmann, which proved to be so successful that after her studies she joined the firm.
Since 1 April 1997 Ellen Gielen has been working within the Life Sciences practice group, specializing in company law with particular emphasis on national and international contract law, (including takeover agreements, agency agreements distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements and research agreements), product liability, as well as due diligence investigations in the pharmaceutical sector.
