Michiel van Dijk is a lawyer and partner in the Insolvency Law and Employment Law practice group. He is often appointed as liquidator in various large-scale insolvencies and advises companies in financial difficulty.

He has wide experience in advising employers and employees on redundancy issues, reorganizations and the dismissal of directors. Michiel is also frequently active in the area of employment for the broadcasting, media and sports sector.

Michiel regularly speaks at seminars and gives courses on aspects of the law pertaining to sports and employment. He is member of the editorial team of Ondernemersbrief, a publication of CMS Derks Star Busmann giving the latest information on legal issues. Michiel is active in the sports world, as a sportsman (Michiel is ex rugby-international and runs marathons now several times per year)and administrator.
