What is an RSS feed?
An RSS feed is in fact no more than a list of news items, and in this case publications or seminars too. Each item consists of a title, a short summary and a link to a webpage.

To enable you to read RSS feeds, you need a newsreader. These can be easily downloaded and a number of free programmes are available to read news items in RSS:

What are the advantages of RSS?
RSS is fast and easy. With RSS, you no longer need to visit the websites each day in search of new articles. With a newsreader you download with a single click the latest headlines from your favourite websites. You can then decide yourself which articles you want to read. You do not need to give your email address in order to subscribe to an RSS feed, so there’s no problem with spam or virus threats.
